CO-FOUNDER

Emily grew up in Charlotte and graduated from West Charlotte High School and then received her BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Emily worked for Wells Fargo for 13 years before staying home with her children. Emily has been involved on the Board of Directors of Christ Church Kindergarten and Novant Health Foundation as well as actively serving at Christ Episcopal Church. Emily and her husband David have twin girls.

CO-FOUNDER

Heather graduated from Myers Park High School and received her BA from UNC Chapel Hill before a 10-year career with MCI/WorldCom/Verizon where she provided support for Fortune 500 clients. Throughout the years, Heather has served as a volunteer at St. Gabriel’s Catholic School, St. Patrick’s Catholic School and Kindermourn. She married her high school sweetheart, Charley Leavitt – also a Charlotte native - and they have three children together.

CO-FOUNDER

Cat graduated from Broughton High School in Raleigh, N.C. and received her BA from Wake Forest University. She also has a masters in Elementary Education from Queens college. She has lived in Charlotte the last 20 years with a diverse career in marketing, non profit work and pharmaceutical sales. She currently sells residential real estate for Compass. Throughout the years Cat has been actively involved at Myers Park United Methodist Church, Girls on The Run, Let Me Run, The Duke Mansion Preservation Society and Charlotte Country Day School. Cat has two sons who are often seen at Baby Bundles events.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Jane Freeman is the second full-time Executive Director of Baby Bundles. She spends her days ensuring that the mission of the organization is carried out through work with the Board of Directors, staff, community partners, volunteers, and donors. She came to Baby Bundles in 2023 after 9 years at Communities In Schools. A native Charlottean and mom to three, Jane is passionate about building community with and around others.

DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT

As Director of Development, Abbey oversees Baby Bundles’ resource development goals, including annual fundraising budget, donor outreach and stewardship, special event management and corporate and community partnerships. Prior to joining Baby Bundles, Abbey spent two and a half years with Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region, where she managed grant writing and relationship building for corporate, faith and foundation partners.

PROGRAM AND VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR

If you’ve been to the Baby Bundles warehouse, you know the magic and impact that take place in our space. Amy Fonville is the leader of our volunteer and partner platforms, coordinating 2,000+ volunteers a year and distributing 3,000 bundles to our 18 community partners. Prior to joining Baby Bundles, Amy worked in various sales and management roles and has spent countless hours volunteering at her two daughters’ schools.
