Introducing Our Team
Baby Bundles announced earlier this spring about our upcoming leadership transition. Paula Foust, Executive Director, plans to retire May 31, 2024. Paula has been a terrific leader for Baby Bundles and she will be missed. During her five year tenure with the organization, we increased our annual bundle distribution from 1,150 in 2019 to 3,000 in 2024. She led our move to the current warehouse space and helped to shape Baby Bundles into the organization it is today. All the while, she kept our focus on families and deepened connections with our community partners.
Last year, Jane Freeman was hired to lead our fundraising and marketing efforts. She quickly became an integral part of the team. Jane is a native Charlottean with deep roots and connections to the city. She and her husband, Jason, have two little girls, Betsy and Adelaide. Before joining our team, she spent nearly ten years in various roles at Communities In Schools, ultimately serving as the Director of Executive Operations and Governance for the organization. When she returned from maternity leave in January, our Board of Directors began conversations with her about the Executive Director position and we’re thrilled that she has accepted the role.
We are also fortunate to be welcoming Abbey Craig as our new Director of Development. Abbey comes to Baby Bundles from Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region where she specialized in grant writing and corporate partnerships. Abbey and her husband, Rusty, love Charlotte and are expecting their first child due in September of this year. Amy Fonville, our Volunteer and Partner Coordinator, continues to lead our warehouse operations and will work closely with Jane and Abbey as we expand our programming in the coming years. We are grateful for your support as we onboard new leadership. We are excited to keep you updated on our work!
