Ringing-in 2015 with Great Thanks!

We at Baby Bundles hope everyone had a fabulous holiday season!

Baby Bundles would like to start off 2015 by thanking all of the volunteers who were an especially big help over the holidays.

These women, the “Circle 5” from Sharon Presbyterian Church, were a tremendous help on “Giving Tuesday” in December.

Thank you so much for all that you do for us, everyone!  Because of volunteers like you, we can shower new mothers and their babies with the love they need to get started!

Baby Bundles partners with Crisis Assistance to help new moms

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (September 22, 2014) — Baby Bundles, a nonprofit dedicated to providing mothers in economic need with newborn essentials, is the latest organization to join forces with Crisis Assistance Ministry.  Charlotte-based Baby Bundles has pledged to make a monthly delivery of 24 bundles of items for moms-to-be and new moms with babies ages six months or younger for distribution through Crisis Assistance’s Free Store.

Each of the 12 baby girl bundles and 12 baby boy bundles will contain a six-month supply of baby blankets, bibs, burp cloths, outfits, pajamas, socks, hats, onesies, books and an educational toy packaged in a large, reusable bag. “We see ourselves as a mother-to-mother outreach,” said Heather, founder  of Baby Bundles, “We’re honored by the opportunity to be a consistent resource for an organization like Crisis Assistance that is making such a tremendous difference in quality of life in the Charlotte area.”

Baby Bundles, the brainchild of three women who know the challenges of birth, loss and motherhood firsthand, focuses on underserved populations. The organization gathers new and gently used baby clothing, organizes clothing drives, and delivers these “baby bundles” to new moms in need. In the process of “clothing newborns with love,” Baby Bundles seeks to help alleviate some of the stresses that come during the first months of new motherhood.  BabyBundlesNC.org.

The Iron Butterfly

The staff at the Iron Butterfly promotes a healthy mind, body and spirit.  One generous way to nurture our spirit is in giving to others. During the month of November the Iron Butterfly collected much needed items for our bundles.  We were presented with blankets, baby clothing, sweet little hats and soft toys.  The basket Heather Obleada presented to Baby Bundles was full of essentials and given with love.  Many Thanks to our supporters at the Iron Butterfly.

Ho Ho Ho

Santa Clause made a special guest appearance at Circa Interiors and Antiques last Thursday.  Children sank into his lap and whispered their Christmas wishes into his ear.

Guests were encouraged to share in the spirit of giving by bringing a blanket or book for Baby Bundles.  Our bin was stuffed full of colorful blankets to warm needy babies.

In addition to partnering with Baby Bundles for the Holiday party, Circa Interiors and Antiques pledged a generous $500 donation to support our mission to serve local needy families.  We are most appreciative of their gift.
