Generosity passing down through generations

We spend so much time making sure our children learn how to read and write.  We make sure they can jump rope, cross the monkey bars and swim a lap.  We hustle them in and out of the church pews on Sunday and hope they get the message.  It can be overwhelming to contemplate all we really want to pass along to our kids.

When the three of us were starting Baby Bundles part of why we started it was because we wanted something our children could take part in.  We wanted them to see what the needs were in their community and try to make a difference by taking action.  There are many ways for kids to be involved in helping their community even at an early age.

Lucia is a Baby Bundles non-profit supporter at the sweet age of 4.  For her birthday she had friends bring donations for babies in need and donated them to Baby Bundles.   Hayden turned seven and had cash and clothing donations contributed to Baby Bundles instead of getting gifts for herself.  Hayden’s mom had these great t-shirts made up for her friends that have this quote from Dr. Suess~ “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better.  It’s not.”  We applaud these girls for their generous spirit.  We thank them for their willingness to help others and encourage them to continue to on this path.
